Do you believe you are blessed?

Living in the Blessing Lesson # 1 And God Blessed It part 1

2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that [pertain] to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption [that is] in the world through lust.

God has giving us everything we need for the issues of life. We have been called to walk in the blessing and live as partakers of the great and precious promises. What is the hinderance between the declared word of God and the experience of the believer? The secrets of living in the blessing is in the word of God. When our heart lines up with the word of God we experience God’s best. The purpose of this series “Living in the Blessing” is for believers to break every hinderance and live in the abundant life.

Ephesian 1:3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly [places] in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

These first two passage will be our theme verses for this series. Every believer needs the revelation of how blessed they are by the Father. Blessed, chosen, adopted, and accepted by God will and good pleasure. “And God Blessed It” our lesson title. God has been in the blessing business from the foundation of the world.

Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 So God created man in His [own] image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

God created the man and woman and the first thing God did was bless them; it is the heart of God. We will mention a few of the men of God who were blessed by God. God’s very nature lends itself to blessing. Even in God’s rebuke to backsliding Israel He would show His heart’s desire to bless them and lead them into a life of victory.

Genesis 9:1 So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. 2 "And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move [on] the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. 3 "Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.

We know the story of Noah and the ark. God judged the world but as soon as Noah and his children came off the ark, God blessed them. It is the heart and nature of God to bless.

Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

We find God blessing often and Abram is called by God to be blessed and to be a blessing. God made it clear, when God’s blessing it, there is no cursing and it. All who reject this truth find themselves fighting against God. God blesses so great that a curse cannot come to that which he has blessed.

Genesis 26:1 There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar. 2 Then the LORD appeared to him and said: "Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. 3 "Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. 4 "And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;

Abraham was blessed and now God affirms the blessing to his son Isaac. Through the seed all nations of the earth shall be blessed. It is the prophetic utterance that Jesus would bless all the nations. Yes, it is in the heart of God to bless and for His children to walk in the blessing.

Genesis 32:24 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. 25 Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. 26 And He said, "Let Me go, for the day breaks." But he said, "I will not let You go unless You bless me!" 27 So He said to him, "What [is] your name?" He said, "Jacob." 28 And He said, "Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed." 29 Then Jacob asked, saying, "Tell [me] Your name, I pray." And He said, "Why [is] it [that] you ask about My name?" And He blessed him there. 30 So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: "For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved."

Jacob is Abraham’s grandson. He spent a lifetime chasing the blessing and trying to get all the blessing through deceit and trickery. Finally, Jacob encounters God and wrestles with a Man until the break of day. He was not prevailing against the Man nor would Jacob let the man go. Jacob said I will not let you go until you bless me; God changed Jacob name to Israel. He went from deceiver to prevailing with God. This is the blessing God calls us to walk in; if any man be in Christ…

Numbers 24:1 Now when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he did not go as at other times, to seek to use sorcery, but he set his face toward the wilderness. 2 And Balaam raised his eyes, and saw Israel encamped according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came upon him. 3 Then he took up his oracle and said: "The utterance of Balaam the son of Beor, The utterance of the man whose eyes are opened, 4 The utterance of him who hears the words of God, Who sees the vision of the Almighty, Who falls down, with eyes wide open: 5 "How lovely are your tents, O Jacob! Your dwellings, O Israel! 6 Like valleys that stretch out, Like gardens by the riverside, Like aloes planted by the LORD, Like cedars beside the waters.

A king was afraid of the nation Israel and hired a profit to curse Israel. What the king soon found was man cannot curse what God has blessed. Those who curse what God blesses find themselves in the awkward position of fighting against God.

Numbers 24: 7 He shall pour water from his buckets, And his seed [shall be] in many waters. "His king shall be higher than Agag, And his kingdom shall be exalted. 8 "God brings him out of Egypt; He has strength like a wild ox; He shall consume the nations, his enemies; He shall break their bones And pierce [them] with his arrows. 9 'He bows down, he lies down as a lion; And as a lion, who shall rouse him?' "Blessed [is] he who blesses you, And cursed [is] he who curses you." 10 Then Balak's anger was aroused against Balaam, and he struck his hands together; and Balak said to Balaam, "I called you to curse my enemies, and look, you have bountifully blessed [them] these three times!

King Balak is angry with the prophet Balaam because he could not curse what God blessed. In the end both Balaam and King Balak were destroyed for trying to curse what God had blessed.

Galatians 3:7 Therefore know that [only] those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, [saying], "In you all the nations shall be blessed." 9 So then those who [are] of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

The promised blessing that came to Abraham is promised to all those who will come through faith in Jesus Christ. Can you believe you are blessed to the same strength and even greater than the blessing that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob? Those who have placed faith in Jesus have the same blessing of Abraham; indeed, the believer is called to walk blessed and live in the blessings of God.

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

If you have thoughts and ideas that exalts against the truth you are blessed, it time for the thought to be brought low and subject itself into the obedience of Jesus Christ! Believer you are blessed!
