Jesus preached the blessing!

Living in the Blessing lesson # 11 Jesus Preached the Blessing part 1

2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that [pertain] to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption [that is] in the world through lust.

Divine influence and union with Christ be multiplied to you though intimacy with God and Jesus our Lord. Blessed indeed, we have already been given all things that pertain to life and godliness. We have great and precious promises to partake in the divine nature.

Ephesian 1:3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly [places] in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

The Blessed One has blessed us with every spiritual blessing! We are seated in heavenly places as chosen, adopted children, and accepted in the Beloved. The Father derives great pleasure in your understanding the degree to which He desires you.

Hebrews 6:17 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed [it] by an oath,

Oh, heir of promise, God has determined for you to know the immutability of His counsel! He confirmed by an oath! Anchor your soul to His desire for you. Jesus preached the truth of this blessing!

Matthew 5:3 "Blessed [are] the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

The blessing Jesus preached, begins with an understanding we are poor in spirit without Him.

Luke 18:9 Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 "The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, 'God, I thank You that I am not like other men--extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 'I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.'

The Pharisee seen himself as rich in spirit and full of good self-performance.

Luke 18:13 "And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise [his] eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner!' 14 "I tell you, this man went down to his house justified [rather] than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

The poor in spirit humble themselves quickly before an Almighty God. The Pharisee did not acknowledge his need for God; the tax collector seen his only hope as the mercy of God. The poor in spirit receive the kingdom of God

John 4:21 Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 "You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the

Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 "God [is] Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

The poor in spirit call out for mercy from Jesus and a spirit to Spirit connection is restored. There is a losing of all, only to gain everything! Blessed are the poor in spirit!

Matthew 5:4 Blessed [are] those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.

There is a place where mourning results in being comforted. The heart of the Father is being revealed as Jesus preaches the second blessed… This is good news for the sinner and saint alike

Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to [those who are] bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,

Jesus fulfilled this prophetic utterance of Isaiah. Jesus came with anointing and power healing the broken hearted, setting free those in captivity, opening the prison of those bound, and declare the acceptable year of the Lord.

Isaiah 61:3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."

The plan of God was unveiled at the ministry of Jesus. What you see Jesus doing in His earthly ministry, He is still doing today to carry out the will of the Father. Comfort for the mourning, beauty for ashes, the oil of joy of mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. The heart beat of God is to make us trees of righteousness, yes, the planting of the Lord. Strong abundant life is His intention for His children.

Matthew 5:5 Blessed [are] the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.

Meekness may be the most misunderstood fruit of the Spirit. The attribute is meek toward God. It is power under the control of the abiding anointing. The meek will inherit the earth! Meekness is like a horse’s bridle. The believer walking in power under the constraints and leading of the Holy Spirit. Submitting to God is the way to working in the demonstration of the Spirit and power of God.

Meek: quiet, gentle, and easily imposed on; submissive:

synonyms: submissive · yielding · obedient · compliant · tame · biddable · tractable · acquiescent · humble · deferential · timid · unprotesting · unresisting · like a lamb to the slaughter · quiet ·

Zephaniah 3:12 I will leave in your midst A meek and humble people, And they shall trust in the name of the LORD. 13 The remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness And speak no lies, Nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; For they shall feed [their] flocks and lie down, And no one shall make [them] afraid." 14 Sing, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all [your] heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!

Walking in meekness is trusting fully and completely in the name of Jesus in full expectation of His promises being fulfilled.

Zephaniah 3:15 The LORD has taken away your judgments, He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, the LORD, [is] in your midst; You shall see disaster no more. 16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: "Do not fear; Zion, let not your hands be weak. 17 The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet [you] with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."

Meekness surrenders to the judgments taken away by the blood of the cross. The King of Israel, the Lord is in your midst! Do not fear Zion let not your hands be weak. The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing!

Psalm 37:1 [A Psalm] of David. Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. 3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring [it] to pass. 6 He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.

Meekness knows how to trust in the Lord and feed on His faithfulness. It looks not to the circumstance but delights itself in the Lord. He gives us the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord and trust in Him. Do you see the double command to trust in Him? He shall bring it to pass.

Psalm 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret--[it] only [causes] harm. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the LORD, They shall inherit the earth. 10 For yet a little while and the wicked [shall be] no [more]; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, But it [shall be] no [more]. 11 But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him. Fret not be not angry; those who wait on the Lord shall inherit the earth. Delight yourself in the abundance of peace the meek inherit the earth.

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Bring every thought into captivity unto the obedience of Jesus Christ: Jesus preached the blessing! Blessed are the poor in spirit and blessed are the meek, both eternal and earthly blessing come.
