Relationship with Jesus is the blessed life.

Living in the Blessing lesson # 13 Jesus Commanded the Blessing

2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that [pertain] to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption [that is] in the world through lust.

Divine influence and being at one with God, be multiplied to you through intimate relationship with God and Jesus Christ our Lord. His divine power… He has done and is doing such great things. He has made all the provision the believer needs for the issues of life. Intimate relationship with God is His heart for every believer; His desire is for the believer to partake in the divine nature and live in the exceedingly great and precious promises.

Ephesian 1:3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly [places] in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

The Blessed One has chosen to bless us. The Father blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ. He chose us, adopted us with pleasure, and made us accepted in the beloved. The Creator of heaven and earth has it in His heart to bless you!

Hebrews 6:17 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed [it] by an oath,

Not only does He want to bless you, He determined He wanted you to be convinced of it. He swore an oath by all that He is that His counsel is true. You have been called to anchor your soul to this truth. And the second great truth to anchor your soul to His promises, He sent Jesus as your forerunner into His presence. Blessed indeed.

Luke 4:16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: 18 "The Spirit of the LORD [is] upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to [the] poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to [the] captives And recovery of sight to [the] blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

We spent 2 weeks of lessons on Jesus preached the blessing. Just want to take it up to the heart of God. Jesus commanded the blessing. Jesus in His home town declared the Word in synagogue. The One Man who could preach Himself as light and life! By His Own declaration Jesus proclaimed the purpose of His coming. To preach the good news of the gospel to the poor in spirit. Those who needed a Savior could now find redemption. Jesus came declaring the good news, healing the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, and to set at liberty those who are oppressed. Jesus commanded the blessing of freedom.

Luke 4:19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD." 20 Then He closed the book, and gave [it] back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, "Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."

The acceptable year of the LORD is today! All that He promised is for you! “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” Jesus commanded the blessing and it begin to flow where ever He went!

John 5:20 "For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 21 "For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to [them], even so the Son gives life to whom He will. 22 "For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, 23 "that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

JESUS is the life giver! What we think of Jesus will determine our destiny; can you see Him as your life giver? He commanded the blessing indeed; we must honor the SON!

John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. 25 "Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. 26 "For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 27 "and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.

Jesus life giving words are here in this passage. Everlasting life is the commanded blessing from Jesus. We pass from death to life at faith that the Father sent Him and we believe He alone has the power to save. Jesus, the Son of man, alone is the one with the God given authority.

Matthew 11:27 "All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and [the one] to whom the Son wills to reveal [Him]. 28 "Come to Me, all [you] who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 "For My yoke [is] easy and My burden is light."

With all of heaven’s authority behind Him, He gives command to come… Come for salvation, come for the rest of the soul, come learn from Him. Yield to the one who has commanded the blessing.

1 John 5:11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may [continue to] believe in the name of the Son of God.

True life begins at faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The purpose of the Word is to bring you to believing in the power of the name of Jesus, and to get you to continue to believe. Not a moment in time but a lifestyle of believing.

Matthew 8:16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He Himself took our infirmities And bore [our] sicknesses."

Jesus lived a life of commanding the blessing. When the demon-possessed came He cast out the spirits with a word! WORD! When the sick came He healed all who were sick. The life-giving Jesus brings the fulfillment of scriptures indeed.

Isaiah 53:1 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? 2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, [There is] no beauty that we should desire Him. 3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, [our] faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

We are called to believe the report of the commanded blessing; look upon the Savior and what do you see?

Isaiah 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He [was] wounded for our transgressions, [He was] bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace [was] upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Jesus has borne our griefs! Jesus has carried our sorrows. Jesus was wounded for our transgressions. Jesus was bruised for our iniquities. Jesus bore the punishment of our peace. By Jesus stripes we are healed.

Psalm 103:1 [A Psalm] of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, [bless] His holy name! 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good [things], [So that] your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Will you receive the commanded blessing Jesus provides? The degree to which you believe with be the degree to which you receive. This prophetic word is for us! This is the God that we serve!

Luke 12:22 Then He said to His disciples, "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. 23 "Life is more than food, and the body [is more] than clothing. 24 "Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? 25 "And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 26 "If you then are not able to do [the] least, why are you anxious for the rest? 27 "Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

The commanded blessing of Jesus says drop the worries! The promise is God will take care of you!

Luke 12:28 "If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more [will He clothe] you, O [you] of little faith? 29 "And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. 30 "For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. 31 "But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. 32 "Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Seeking the kingdom of God will produce all the blessing you need! What is our pursuit? The Father is ready and willing and able to bless us. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom!
